Campanulate:   Usually with reference to involucres, shaped like a vase or an upside-down bell.  In some species, the swelling near the base is more pronounced, whereas for others it is scarcely noticeable.  When the involucres have the prominent swelling near the base, the shape is often referred to as "turbinate" (in the shape of a turbin).
