Mid-day on a sunny day in mid-summer is "rush hour" for butterflies.   There were numerous Atlantis Fritillaries darting about the field, nectaring.   You have to be quick on the trigger to get pictures of fritillaries at mid-day, for they're very fleet of wing, and their attention span on any given flower is quite short.   I stalked this one for some time, 'til I was growing impatient.   Finally, I knelt down, aimed, focused, quickly checked exposure settings, and got one frame of this butterfly feeding on knapweed - all with 200 speed print film and a hand-held 210mm lens!   I got lucky.
