| July 2008:
Well, after a very long time, an update to this site! I've been photographing since 2005, in fact, a lot, but it's been "project" work. I've been photographing the Asters and Goldenrods of New England, attempting to document with clear photographic images, what these species look like. The result of all this work has been the creation of a new, online field guide to these species. It's located under this same domain name, and is online now. I will advise you, however, that it's a very technical topic of a botanical nature, that may not interest everyone. The purpose of the photography is of a documentary nature, rather than an aesthetic nature. Click this link, and a whole new world will unfold before your eyes: Field Guide to the Asters and Goldenrods of New England. By the way, I have a few more cloud and sky pictures I will be posting soon. Thanks for stopping by. |

March 2005: I'm introducing an exciting new category of images this year: Sky and Clouds. Over the years I had often wanted to stop whatever I was doing at the moment in order to photograph interesting, intriguing and beautiful cloud patterns. Time never seemed to permit, for there were always more important things to be doing. This winter, I decided to start doing it. There are just too many gorgeous cloud displays to let drift off the horizon unremembered. So, navigate to the Gallery main page, and from there to the "Skies" page. I hope you agree that clouds can be just as exciting as butterflies and flowers. It's all part of the artistry of nature on Earth. I added many nice floral images to my collection this year, which will soon be appearing on this site. The new images will be presented in an educational format, rather than a purely graphical ("aesthetic") one. Site visitors will be able to compare and learn about members of several classes of plants native to the northeastern USA: asters, goldenrods and ferns. The photography for this project was conducted over several years, and will continue in years to come. |
